Teaching philosophy:

The purpose of Christian education is to prepare the student spiritually and academically for the future that God has for them. Academically they need to prepare for college or the vocation they choose. Spiritually they need a strong foundation to prepare them for trials the world will throw their way. A proper Christian education will equip the student to live as a Christian in an increasingly humanistic world.

I had a college professor who made the statment: "Students will not care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I hope to communicate to my students that I truly care about them and want what is best for them. In return, I hope they will care about the things that I am teaching them and will one day realize their potential in God's service at home, in their community, and in the work force.

Teaching philosophy:

I chose a career in education because I love to learn! One of my goals as a teacher is to reproduce that same desire in my students. I believe that in the classroom, children should be doing the real work of scientists, authors, mathematicians, artists, and explorers. My great desire is that my students will grow in wisdom, understanding God's truth and their part in bringing His kingdom to earth. "Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education."
